No Halloween Hangover Hell at the Playboy Mansion

'Blotto in the Grotto' Party Guests to Enjoy 'Hangover Free' Cocktails

Hollywood will get its first taste of remorseless revelry tomorrow night at the Playboy Mansion, thanks to a new functional shot-mixer that promises to prevent hangovers before they start by naturally lowering alcohol toxicity.
Guests will be served specialty ‘hangover free Cheerzaritas’ featuring Cheerz® IntelliShot™ at 97.1 Free FM’s ‘Blotto in the Grotto’ Halloween party. The Adam Carolla show will be on hand to tape the festivities for broadcast on Friday morning.

The 1.5-ounce, lemon lime IntelliShot can be taken straight or as a functional cocktail mixer. Approved for sale as a nutritional supplement by the FDA, the product contains potent natural immune system boosters and super antioxidants including succinate, N-Acetyl Cysteine, and Milk Thistle, to help the liver process alcohol more effectively.

The company says the product works biologically to naturally slow and reduce the metabolism of alcohol into acetaldehyde, helping to speed its conversion into harmless acetic acid. Acetaldehyde, dubbed “the hangover gene” by a recent Japanese study, is produced as the liver breaks down alcohol, and is believed to be 30 times more toxic than alcohol itself, according to a study at King’s College in London.

“Cheerz has significant beneficial biological effects in assisting the liver in the metabolism of alcohol,” says Dr. Dirk P. Slaker, M.D., a hepatologist and former resident at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis. “It is remarkably effective in reducing the symptomatic effects of alcohol toxicity with responsible social use.”

According to Eli Shayotovich of the Southern Colorado Beer Examiner blog, “I drank a hoary host of top-notch craft beers with the intent to bust this sucker wide open and expose it as a fraud. I was stunned by how effective it was in staving off the ungodly pain of Mr. Hangover. Bottom line: it worked.”

A study published in the March 2006 edition of the Oxford Medical Journal found that 90 percent of patients with alcohol related liver disease were social drinkers, employed, and involved in a stable relationship.

Cheerz USA CEO Patrick Cochrane says IntelliShot promotes responsibility, pointing to growing evidence linking alcohol toxicity to cravings that can lead to abuse and even dependence. “The fact is, the overwhelming majority of hangover sufferers are social drinkers, not gutter drunks,” he says. “Preventing hangovers before the damage is done eliminates the need for ‘hair of the dog,’ or prolonged drinking to avoid the inevitable crash.”

The product does not affect inebriation, absorb alcohol or lower blood alcohol content. A single Intellishot is effective for up to three standard drinks and costs about $3.00. The product is available online at www.CheerzHangover.com.
